Community Focus - Spelling Bee

Lincoln County Spelling Bee was held on February 13th, and sponsored by the Lincoln County Farm Bureau Insurance Agencies & Federation. There was representation from nine schools from around the county and the winner was James Durham representing the Lincoln County Middle School. Participants in this year’s Spelling Bee were: (below) Alexis Rodriguez, Waynesburg Elementary, Weston Baker, Stanford Elementary, Jeremiah McFarland, Lloyd McGuffey Sixth Grade Center, Devin Adkins, Colwell Home School, James Durham - Lincoln County Middle School, Erika Owens, McKinney Elementary, Lydia Rice, Highland Elementary, Ocean Irvin, Hustonville Elementary, and Kaylee Murphy, Crab Orchard Elementary.

Each Participant received $20.00 for participating and the winner received $50.00 and will be going on to the Derby Spelling Bee which is held on March 19th 2013.

Ms. Thelma Blair representing the Lincoln County Farm Bureau Federation was there to present the awards to the individuals. We are we thankful for the sponsorship of Mr. Andrew Kaiser and Sonja Bratcher representing the Lincoln County Farm Bureau Insurance Agencies and the Lincoln County Farm Bureau Federation.
