Community Focus - Legislative Drive-In
- May 05, 2014
On March 12, 2014, Lincoln County’s Farm Bureau Board participated in Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Annual Legislative Drive In. Six members of the Board’s Legislative Committee spend the day in Frankfort participating in briefings updating them on bills of interest to the Agricultural community. They then met with State Senator Chris Girdler and State Representative David Meade. A very productive conversation about current legislative activity ensued. Among those issues discussed were the budget proposal and its implications for Lincoln County and agriculture. Other issues included Eminent Domain and property rights, pensions reform and SB78, the “dog bite” bill which would affect the legal liability status of all landlords.
