Jefferson County Farm Bureau Now Accepting Scholarship Applications for the 2024-2025 School Year: Jefferson County Farm Bureau will award one $2,000 scholarship to a student pursuing a degree in an agriculture-related field and one $2,000 scholarship to a student pursuing a non-agriculture degree. Applicants will be evaluated on leadership, scholarship, and financial need.

Jefferson County Farm Bureau Members Attend 2015 Kentucky Farm Bureau Congressional Tour in Washington D.C.: The Congressional Tour is an excellent opportunity for our members to meet with their Congressional leaders and share our values, concerns, and policy as it relates to our Farm Families and operations.

Val the Cow at Cow Pie Bingo: Recently, Executive Director Matt Michaud, Vice President Samantha McNay and Jami Guess visited Holy Cross High School for their annual Cow Pie Bingo event.

2015 Seneca High School Animals for Learning: For the past few years, Jefferson County Farm Bureau has been helping the Seneca Ag Program with their yearly event, Animals For Learning. This year we also helped by reading the Foundation for Agriculture’s Book of the Year, “The Apple Orchard Riddle" to classes who attended the event!

Book Barns Delivered to Jefferson County Public Schools: In the past month, Jefferson County Farm Bureau has begun delivering our "Book Barns" to schools around the county! This project has been inspired by other Brilliant Farm Bureau Counties. Several of our schools are either including them in the library or putting them in select classes to use for more in depth education.

January 13, 2026: Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) has announced its 2026 national and state policy priorities following the conclusion of its 106th Annual Meeting. These priorities, developed by KFB members and approved by the KFB Board of Directors, will guide the organization’s advocacy efforts at both the federal and state levels throughout the 2026 legislative sessions.
