JARRETT N. BROWN HONORED AS KENTUCKY FARM BUREAU 2014 MASTER AGENT & DISTRICT ONE AGENCY MANAGER OF THE YEAR

Jarrett Brown, Agency Manager for the Hopkins County–Center Street Agency of Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance, has been named Master Agent and Agency Manager of the Year at the 2014 Sales Conference.

The Master Agent program recognizes superior overall performance by agents and agency managers over the past year. While this prestigious distinction honors individuals for exceptional sales production, equal consideration is given to attitude, contribution to the team concept, loss ratio, field underwriting and cooperation with the Claims and the Product & Risk Management departments, as well as other areas of the company.

District One Agency Manager of the Year is awarded to one outstanding Agency Manager. District one consist of a 24-county region. The award recognizes excellence in overall sales production, satisfactory loss-ratio, service to policy holders and an affirmative attitude.

Jarrett contracted as an agency manager in Hopkins County with Kentucky Farm Bureau in June 2008. He was an agent for Warren County Farm Bureau for eleven years before opening his own agency on Center Street. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a degree in Health Care & Business Administration. Jarrett lives in Hanson KY with his wife, Dana and twin sons, San and Shepherd.

Jarrett heads the list of a well-established network of over 400 Kentucky Farm Bureau agents statewide. The company, founded in 1944, has offices in all of the Commonwealth's 120 counties. Farm Bureau markets a wide variety of insurance lines, from homeowner’s and automobile coverage to life and health insurance and retirement planning. These pictures were taken at Southside Elementary School. Hopkins County Farm Bureau partnered with Madisonville North Hopkins FFA students and had a book barn built to donate to the school. We also donated books and Kimberly Faulk read to a class.

The Legislative Breakfast that Hopkins County and Muhlenberg County co-host. Several were in attendance which included State Representatives, Senators, Board of directors, Judge executive’s, and Mayors. There was an agenda of legislative issues discussed and breakfast was served.


 
Youth Contest Results

The 2013 Variety Contest Winner who will represent District 2 at the State Annual Showcase is Savannah Abbagail Gilford from Henderson County and performed a vocal Solo entitled "I Turn to You". Second place was Samuel Enoch Winders from Crittenden County and Third Place was awarded to Annabelle Grace Watts, Daviess County.

The 2013 Outstanding Farm Bureau Youth Contest was also held October 17th and the results follow: First Place whom will represent District 2 in the State Contest at the KFB Annual Meeting went to Jessica Paige Murch - Henderson County and Cable Keith Wilson - McLean County. Second Place was awarded to Maggie Sims Collins - Crittenden County and Joseph Chancelloe Reed - Muhlenberg County, and third place goes to Bayley Lhea Ranes & Nolan Henry Pettit, both from Webster County.

National Ag Literacy Day

FFA Officers from Madisonville North Hopkins High School read to students at a local elementary school during part of "Ag in the Classroom" and National Ag Literacy Day in March.

Our local board greatly supports and appreciates both schools for their eager participation. We are proud of our strong FFA chapters in our county!

Hopkins County Farm Bureau has tiling machine for rent

Hopkins County Farm Bureau has a pull-type field tiling machine available for rent to members at a cost of .05 per linear foot. Please call 270-452-0226. Members are required to provide their own tractor to pull the machine.

Students looking at ag books appropriate for elementary age students. Books were bought and donated by the Hopkins County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. President D. Brumfield talked to the students about strawberries and when they are harvested.
