Muhlenberg County Farm Bureau will award two college scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year. A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to two students from Muhlenberg County High School.

Three Muhlenberg County students received college scholarships from Kentucky Farm Bureau. In partnership with County Farm Bureaus, the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation awarded $465,400 this year to deserving students from across the Commonwealth.

The Muhlenberg County Farm Bureau Annual meeting of members will be held on Thursday June 9, 2016. Tickets should be purchased in advance at the Muhlenberg County Farm Bureau office located at 200 Dean Road in Greenville. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In 1994, Kentucky tobacco producers grew 187,000 acres of tobacco, weighing in at over 453 million pounds and worth nearly $841 billion. That was 10 years before the Fair and Equitable Tobacco Reform Act eliminated an antiquated tobacco quota system that had been in place since 1938.
