Community Focus - Farm Bureau youth shine in contest
- November 25, 2013
The Logan County Farm Bureau was well represented on Saturday November 2nd, in the Fourth District Outstanding Farm Bureau Youth Competition and Talent Contest held in Glasgow. Four talented young people from the area participated in the contest and came home as winners. This was a first for Logan County.
In the Outstanding Youth Competition, Lilly Robertson, daughter of Jeremy and Tabitha Robertson, competed in the female division. Lilly was the winner in this division and will be competing in the Kentucky Farm Bureau state competition on Thursday night, December 5, 2013 at the Galt House East in Louisville. Thomas Poole, son of Teresa Poole and the late Tom Poole, competed in the male division and won first place. Thomas will also be competing in the state competition on December 5th.
Jaclyn Batchelor and Lydia Manley competed in the talent division of the fourth district contest and won first place. Jaclyn and Lydia will be performing on Friday December 6, 2013 at the state talent showcase at the Galt House East.
In order to qualify for the district competition, the youth had to be winners in their respective categories in the Local Farm Bureau contest. This contest was held in conjunction with the Logan County Farm Bureau Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, September 14th. We are so proud of these outstanding youth and their accomplishments.
Farm Bureau supports their youth in many areas because they are the “future of our country.”
