Scholarship Winner 2014

2014 Scholarship WinnerAnna Leigh Morrow, a 2014 graduate of Garrard County High School, was the recipient of the $2,000 Henry West Agricultural Scholarship funded by Garrard County Farm Bureau Federation. A certificate was presented at Senior Awards Night. In the fall, Morrow plans to attend Asbury University in Wilmore, to pursue an education to be an English professor. She is the daughter of Andrew and Tanya Morrow. All Farm Bureau applicants were judged on a variety of issues including financial need, academic excellence, extracurricular activities and leadership ability.

Rob Newman, agency manager for Garrard County Farm Bureau will be retiring April 30, 2014 after 29 years of service. A reception, hosted by the federation, was held in his honor thanking him for his dedication.
