So many choices...so little time - KFB Annual Meeting 2013

Posted on Dec 5, 2013

If you're involved in Kentucky Agriculture you may feel "like a kid in a candy store" this week. Hundreds of us have arrived in Louisville to mix and mingle with our fellow farmers and volunteer leaders from all across the state. The halls and meeting rooms are full of sharing harvest stories and plans for the future. Both seasoned and fresh faces shake hands and exchange hugs all along the way. It is my favorite part of this unique experience...seeing these incredible people who share my passion for all things related to agriculture and this great organization.

This week offers opportunities to learn and update policies on nearly every aspect of our ag industry. There are commodity conferences all over the hotel as well as final rounds of competition for several young farmer and youth contests. We'll finish our week by electing leadership for the coming year. It's what we do...it's what we love!

Sharon owns & operates Furches Farms Partnership with her husband, Tripp in Murray, KY. She is Calloway Co. Farm Bureau President and a member of the KFB State Women’s Committee. Sharon also serves as President of Kentucky Women in Agriculture and is a member of the Kentucky Ag Council and the Kentucky State Board of Agriculture.
