Market Update - March 5, 2014

Posted on Mar 5, 2014
CBOT futures are weaker as the Ukraine/Russia situation remains less heated.  Traders are planning ahead for Monday’s updated Supply-Demand estimates from USDA.

Cattle futures are lower after trading higher overnight. The sell-off hit the market when pit trading opened at 9:00 am.  After Tuesday’s sharp rally, it isn’t surprising for traders to pause to see if the cash markets (and the consumer) support such price strength. New daily lows are being made.
