Market Update - March 4, 2014

Posted on Mar 4, 2014
CBOT futures are trading higher and at the day’s highs. The rally began at 830 CST when trading reopened.  Traders perceive an easing in the Russia/Ukraine situation but anything can happen.

Livestock futures were steady to lower overnight, but also exploded higher along with the grain markets and the outside markets in response to the Ukraine/Russia news.  Midday pork values are down about a dollar/cwt.  Cattle futures are now 50-70 cents off the morning highs.
