Cattle futures closed mostly higher, sustaining this week’s strong price recovery off the contract lows. The cash cattle and boxed beef markets still weigh on the market. Choice down 0.61 at 203.00; Select up 0.43 at 197.89
Lean Hog futures closed lower after rallying on the open. The LH charts are developing defined overhead resistance which also appears on the weekly continuation chart. Cash markets were not supportive today. FOB Plant Pork dropped .24 to 88.58.
