CBOT futures closed widely mixed with the soy complex ending lower on continued concerns for US/China trade relations. Bean bulls are hanging their hope (and wallet)on good news coming out of the G20 Summit later this week. December Soybean Oil led the soy market lower with a 3% drop, hitting a new contract low. Wheat futures were the bright spot today, rallying on news of a Russian attack on Ukraine vessels.

Cattle futures closed narrowly mixed. Choice beef closed up .60 to 214.45 and Select gained 1.28 to 199.79.

Lean hog futures dropped markedly even though the pork cutout rebounded from Friday’s multi-month lows. FOB Plant Pork jumped 1.29 to 68.22.
