U.S. Pasture: 56% good/excellent vs 49% year ago. 16% poor/v.poor vs 27% year ago.
Livestock futures closed mixed but well off the highs set this morning. Profit-taking is credited for the smaller gains. Boxed beef values closed nearly unchanged from last week with Choice at 248.18. FOB Plant Pork closed only .32 higher at 134.52. Gains in loins and picnics offset losses in ribs and hams.
