KFB seeks applicants for its new Agricultural Innovation Exchange Program
Posted on Sep 10, 2014The Agricultural Innovation Exchange Program was initiated to help surface inventions, equipment modifications, innovative cropping systems, marketing techniques, management methodologies and other creative farming practices developed by KFB members. The program encourages KFB members to share their innovations with other farmers and to help them find new ways to cut costs, improve efficiencies, protect or improve the environment and increase net income.
This competition is currently open and seeking applicants to identify original, agriculturally-oriented innovations that make work around the farm easier, faster or more effective. A downloadable application, complete with outline of the contest’s rules and entry guidelines, is available at kyfb.com/federation. All applications and supporting documentation must be received at the KFB state office by October 1, 2014.
Judging of the Agricultural Innovation Exchange Program will take place later this fall and up to three winners will be selected and recognized on December 4 during the 2014 KFB Annual Meeting in Louisville. Winners will be awarded space at the annual meeting’s tradeshow to present their innovations to attendees, provided with overnight accommodations at the Galt House Hotel, and presented with a plaque and a tiered cash prize – $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place.
