George Hieneman appointed as Area Program Director for Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation

David S. Beck, Executive Vice President of Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation, announced today that George Hieneman has been named Area Program Director for Area 9 in northeastern Kentucky. His appointment is effective March 28, 2011.

Hieneman, a resident of Greenup County, joins Farm Bureau after having worked as the Security (IT) Technician/Security Officer for King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, KY, since 2006. He also owns and operates Flathills Farm, a beef cattle and hay operation, with his wife, Linda. Hieneman is a graduate of Morehead State University where he holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration & Management.

“George has a genuine interest and passion for agriculture and a sincere desire to serve others in our industry,” said Beck. “His farming background and deep family roots in rural Kentucky, coupled with a solid work ethic, will no doubt serve him and the organization well. I’m confident he will be a valuable asset in moving our programs and services forward in his working area.”

In his new role as an Area Program Director, Hieneman will coordinate membership and service programs for Farm Bureau members in 12 counties of northeastern Kentucky: Bath, Boyd, Carter, Elliott, Greenup, Lawrence, Menifee, Montgomery, Morgan, Powell, Rowan and Wolfe. He also will work with officers and directors of the county Farm Bureaus in his assigned area to set goals and implement effective leadership strategies.
