“Plasticulture,” at first blush may sound a little odd, but it’s the very practical use of black plastic mulch in commercial fruit and vegetable production and in recent years is offering more opportunity for smaller farmers to cash in on the ‘buy local’ movement. Feldhaus talked with UK extension associate Ty Cato at a “plasticulture” field day.
