The rising costs of beef and pork products at the supermarket led to an overall 3.9% jump in retail food prices in the third quarter of the 2014. Ky Farm Bureau’s Dan Smaldone provides details of the farm group’s Marketbasket survey which charts the price trends for forty staple food items each quarter.
