Posted on May 9, 2012A find of the crop disease called “wheat blast” in Kentucky has kept researchers busy trying to see how serious a threat this development would be. UK soils scientist Dr. Lloyd Murdock says we’re very fortunate to find it isn’t wide spread this season, and this particular strain is not nearly as harmful as the devastation it’s caused in South America.
