A story on the special seminar on new forage varieties next Tuesday evening on the UK campus, March 8. Extension forage specialist Ray Smith discusses the economic importance to farmers of selecting the best in new varieties that perform well in this region of the country. Smith also explains to non-farmers, exactly what forages are, and why they’re so important to the farm economy of Kentucky.
