Posted on Mar 25, 2013Just as farmers utilize no-till cropping, buffer strips, and grass waterways to protect the environment, homeowners “in town,” can do their part too, to help capture and filter untreated storm water run-off through the installation of “rain gardens.” Extension water specialist Brad Lee says the idea is catching on, and they have a series of rain garden workshops scheduled across the state throughout April.
