Kentucky’ forest industry’s economic impact is set at $9.9 billion and over 50,000 in direct and related jobs in over 100 counties across the state. UK forestry professor, Jeff Stringer says the majority of forested acres here is privately owned, and those owners could benefit economically with just a little more management attention to their resource.
