Kentucky has a new state apiarist; Dr. Tammy Horn, a senior researcher at Eastern Kentucky University. A two-time author, and current president of the state beekeepers association, Horn talks about her excitement in taking on the new challenge and her view that the state ag department through service of the apiarist post can do even more in helping develop this growing aspect of agriculture here.
