The average price for retail food prices in Kentucky went down about 3% in the second quarter of the year. Farm Bureau public relations director Dan Smaldone coordinates the group’s quarterly food price check, and admits that based on all of the factors in the general economy, this quarter’s food price drop is something of a mystery.
