Details of phase one of the new Kentucky Equine Survey were recently released by the UK Ag Economics Department and, bottom line, this state ‘is’ the horse capital of the world. UK’s Jill Stowe says initial numbers show equine and equine-related assets at over an estimated $23 billion. Stowe discusses a number of findings of interest. She says the final economic impact assessment will be completed later this year.
