Logan County farmer, Joel Armistead, has developed a “one-row corn planter” which combines planting and fertilizing operations in no till corn. Armistead says precision technologies these days make the investment in his “home made” upgrade, very economically feasible. Armistead displayed his innovation at the recent Farm Bureau Innovation in Agriculture display at the group’s annual meeting earlier this month.
