Five county animal shelters were recently approved for cash awards from the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association’s ‘animal shelter assistance program.’ The concept, now its third year, was originated by a Boyle County beef producer who wanted to extend his efforts beyond his local giving to these important facilities across the state.
