A feature report on the growing numbers of black vultures in the state and their potential negative impact for livestock producers. UK Dept of Forestry, Wildlife Management Professor, Matt Springer, has some suggestions for dealing with the birds. One point he makes is that farmers who notice growing numbers around the farm should take early action to disperse the birds, and that it’s not too difficult or expensive.
