The Adair County Farm Bureau has just made a contribution to cover the costs of sending the county school system’s entire third grade to the outdoor classroom featured at the Homeplace on Green River. Farm group vice president Danny Wilkinson says this unique agri-tourism destination is a diamond in the rough worthy of exploration, and is especially important in making that “farm-city” connection with youngsters.
