Posted on Aug 11, 2016So far this year Kentucky Farm Bureau has issued over 700 “sub permits” for the taking of black vultures to reduce the loss of baby calves and other livestock to large flocks of black vultures. In a joint U.S. Fish and Wildlife/Farm Bureau effort the farm group issued permits in 71 counties and is anticipating a resurgence of demand as fall calving season rolls around. The farm group’s Joe Cain talks about the permitting process.
