A preview report on the Kentucky State Fair (Aug 17-27), which this year will relocate the midway to right in front of Freedom Hall, will feature deep fried “mac ‘n cheese bacon balls, and will have a display recognizing the 100^th anniversary of World War I.  State fair spokesperson, Amanda Storment also provides information on how to order tickets early and get about half off.
