This weekend (Apr 5-7) Eastern Kentucky University is holding its annual large animal rescue workshop. Jim Pharr, chair of EKU’S School of Safety, Security, and Emergency Management, discusses the demand for this kind of training and its uses when students get into the ‘real world,’ and occasionally come face to face with a trapped or injured animal that they need to assist.
