The quarterly Marketbasket food price survey for the first three months of 2013 showed a slight increase, up 74 cents for the forty staple food items checked. The survey coordinator attributes 2012 drought impacts to increases in dairy and grain based foods. That increase was mitigated by decreases in other food categories.
