Posted on Apr 24, 2014The spring growing season got a late start because of snow and cold temperatures from this past winter, but it looks like the Kentucky-grown crop of mint, to be used in the mint juleps for the spring meet at Churchill Downs, will be right on time. Jefferson County mint farmer says the crop will be a little short, but the Kentucky-grown garnish will be awaiting patrons coming in for the Kentucky Derby.
