First quarter food prices in Kentucky inched up slightly according to Farm Bureau’s Marketbasket survey. Project coordinator, Dan Smaldone, says volunteers in 34 Kentucky communities track quarterly price trends which for forty staple food items, priced out at 61 cents higher than the final quarter of 2013.
