Posted on Mar 29, 2018
Join us in Louisville, Kentucky on June 20-21 for the Ag Relations Council (ARC) 2018 annual meeting. As an ongoing endeavor to provide the best in professional development to ARC members, the 2018 annual meeting schedule is packed with intriguing and high-impact presentations. This year’s program, combining riveting presentations with agricultural tours that contribute to ARC members’ basic regional understanding of the area’s agriculture, will provide participants with a “taste” of Kentucky that will be hard to beat.
Some of the scheduled presentations include:
- A look at how Monsanto handles social media, from ARC member Janice Person, Online Engagement Director, Monsanto
- “Truths in a Post-Truth World”, from ARC member Colleen Parr Dekker and Leah Beyer, Elanco Animal Health
- “Is It A Facebook Apocalypse?“, from Philip Brown, Deph Digital
- “Issues and PR Challenges Facing Kentucky Agriculture” panel discussion with Melanie Blandford, Executive Director of Marketing at Kentucky Dept of Ag and B. Todd Bright of Kentucky Farm Bureau
Thursday’s agriculture tour promises great fun for attendees. We’ll visit Hornback Farm in Shelbyville; see Mulberry Orchard; take a hay ride; shop a farmers’ market; tour the Hermitage Thoroughbred Nursery in Goshen; and end the day touring (tasting at) a distillery in Louisville.
Don’t forget that we get to honor this year’s inductees to the Agricultural Relations Council Hall of Fame at a luncheon, see who wins top Golden ARC Awards at the Golden ARC Awards Banquet, and build and strengthen personal and professional relationships with respected ag PR professionals. It’s a WIN!
