Farm Bureau donated $500.00 to the Caldwell County 2014 National FFA Poultry Judging Team to help with the expense of attending the National FFA Convention in Louisville Kentucky October 28-October 31. where they will be competing in Poultry Judging against other schools across the nation. The Caldwell county FFA has had a team compete in nationals 4 out of the 5 times that there has been a national poultry competition. Caldwell County Farm Bureau is proud of the commitment and dedication of these 4 young men, the Team consist of (from left to right) Hunter Adams, Bryan Mitchell, Benji Kilgore, and Matthew McIntosh

Caldwell county farm bureau held their annual member appreciation day September 10, 2014. Customers were able to learn more about the discounts that they are given through being a member of Kentucky farm bureau, they were also able to enjoy lunch and homemade ice cream made by Adams breezy hill farms. Members registered for a chance to win prizes that were donated by the companies that offer a discount to our members.

Caldwell County Farm Bureau donated $500.00 to the Caldwell County Extension office for the Extension Extravaganza, which was an event where they 4-H youth entered projects to be judged on the county level, with the grand champion of each category going to the state fair, also adults could enter items also. During the week of the extension extravaganza there was also a farm tour at Clift farms.

IFAL is a unique five-day summer leadership conference that exposes students to college life and explores different fields of study for careers in agriculture. IFAL allows high school juniors to choose between separate conferences at Murray State University and The University of Kentucky. Murray's conference was held June 15-19 and The University of Kentucky's conference was June 22-26.
Caldwell county sent 3 students, Amanda Hancock attended IFAL at Murray State, and Hannah McIntosh along with Becca Markham attended IFAL at the University of Kentucky.

The Caldwell county farm bureau had their annual meeting September 21st at the uk research center. We had two youth to participate in the variety contest, they were Madison Cox and Madux Cummins. We had two girls and five boys compete in the outstanding youth contest, they were Margret Brown, Hannah McIntosh, Teddy Taylor III, Jerry Milan, Brice Whittington, Cody Baker, and Caleb Watson.
