Wolfe County student awarded Farm Bureau scholarship
Louisville, KY (July 6, 2018) – Lauren Hope Lacy, a senior at Wolfe County High School, is the recipient of a $2,000 college scholarship from Kentucky Farm Bureau Insurance Companies. In partnership with County Farm Bureaus, the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation awarded $465,400 this year to deserving students from across the Commonwealth.
After graduating from high school, Lacy plans to attend Morehead State University to pursue a degree in biology. She is the daughter of Jennifer Nickell of Hazel Green, KY.
Farm Bureau scholarships, offered annually, are awarded to recipients who display the greatest levels of academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership abilities and financial need.

On a colder than normal April afternoon, Morgan Askins is unloading her two quarter horses at the Shelby County Fairgrounds as she prepares to be the flag bearer for the weekend’s Kentuckiana Ranch Horse Association (KRHA) event. She gets her horses settled and prepares for the next day’s activities.
