Local Firefighters and EMTs Receive Grain Bin Rescue Training
Firefighters and rescue workers from around the state gathered at Peterson Farm in Marion County to learn about the dangers associated with grain silos and to receive grain bin rescue training. Marion and Nelson County Farm Bureau provided lunch.

When farmland goes out of production, it just doesn’t come back. Or if farmland is bought by investors outside of the rural community of which it is a part, the farmers, who have lived there, are no longer around to be a vital part of that community.
