President's Column | We are one organization working together to guarantee the success of our members.
Posted on Dec 1, 2025
Throughout the holiday season, we often take stock of the past year and look forward to the next. That is especially true for our farm families across the state. As farmers, we are always looking ahead with anticipation, hoping for good crops, fair weather, and market conditions that will be more favorable than those of the previous year.
While there are no guarantees for those wishes, we have learned to face obstacles with optimism, determination, and a strong will to turn challenges into opportunities.
As we consider both our history and our hopes for the future, it's important to recognize the vital role Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) continues to play in supporting our agricultural community.
KFB has advocated for our farm families since 1919, serving as the Voice of Kentucky Agriculture. In addition to our advocacy work, KFB is also the largest insurance company domiciled in the state, protecting members and their most valued assets since 1943.
Although KFB operates in two distinct areas, we are one organization working together to guarantee the success of our more than 474,000 members.
With such a large membership, Kentucky stands as the fourth-largest Farm Bureau in the nation, a distinction driven by our committed members who strengthen our influence agriculturally and from an insurance perspective.
Serving as the foundation of this organization, our members are strong advocates when it comes to voicing their opinions on matters affecting them and their communities.
Because of those efforts, KFB gains a seat at the table when it comes to discussing issues at all levels, with legislators, local leaders, or regulatory officials. With a presence in every county, our members are often community leaders themselves, elevating their abilities to advocate on a number of topics.
Collectively, KFB is more to Kentuckians than just an insurance company or farm organization; we are community partners always looking for ways to make the places we live better. Always looking for ways to help when there is a need. Always looking to better serve and support our hometowns and the citizens who live there.
As we move through this holiday season, my sincere wish is that we all take a minute to reflect on the year we have come through, even when situations were challenging, and look toward the future with hope and optimism.
I am so grateful for all of our members throughout the state and all you do to make KFB the best it can be. I wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a prosperous New Year.
