(Lexington, KY) March 11, 2019 – More than 250 Kentucky women in agriculture gathered in Lexington this past weekend for the Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Women’s Leadership Conference at the Embassy Suites in Lexington.

The Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Women’s Leadership Conference provided Kentucky women involved in agriculture a chance to network, hear from KFB leadership about a number of topics, and participate in informative workshops. It was also an opportunity to celebrate KFB’s centennial and the history of women’s engagement in agriculture in our state.

The weekend conference began on the morning of Friday, March 8th with an opening session led by the KFB Women’s Advisory Committee and a special presentation about leadership given by Professional Speaker Jenny Nolen from Hattiesburg, MS. Friday’s luncheon featured AgSafe President and CEO Amy Wolfe from Modesto, CA, followed by an afternoon of workshops related to agriculture in Kentucky. Friday concluded with a dinner and live auction.

Saturday’s events kicked off with an “Eggs and Issues” Breakfast with remarks from Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball, a legislative update from KFB Director of Public Affairs Jeff Harper and comments from Amelia Brown Wilson, Field Representative for Congressman James Comer. Saturday continued with additional workshops as well as a closing session and luncheon featuring Esteemed Photographer Paul Mobley from New York, NY and Vickie Bryant, KFB’s State Women’s Advisory Committee Chair.
