Most CBOT futures closed sharply lower following marketing-year-low weekly export sales of corn and soybeans, and a slightly bearish USDA Acreage report for corn. Cattle futures closed higher led by the sharply higher feeder cattle market. Lean hog futures closed lower with October dropping the most at $2.05/cwt.

CBOT futures closed mixed with the soy complex leading the way higher.  Except for the expiring June LC contract, cattle futures closed lower. Lean hog futures settled mixed with minimal price change ahead of today’s Hogs and Pigs Report. 

CBOT futures closed strongly higher with corn and soybeans supported by a larger than expected drop in the good/excellent crop ratings released late Monday. Live cattle closed slightly lower while feeder futures were hit harder due to the corn price increase. Lean hog futures closed lower as cash hog and pork values weaken. 

CBOT futures closed widely mixed with some sharp price moves. Live cattle closed slightly higher while feeder cattle posted mostly 1+ percent gains. Lean hog futures closed lower with Aug/Oct/Dec contracts losing the most. 

CBOT futures closed mixed with soybean oil leading the market higher. Cattle futures posted strong closes with $3.00+ gains in the nearby contracts. Lean hog futures closed lower after trading fairly wide ranges. 

CBOT futures closed steady to mostly higher with wheat leading the market. Live and feeder cattle futures closed lower at near the day’s lows. Lean hog futures closed lower, adding to Friday’s losses.

CBOT futures closed mostly higher with soybean oil leading the market. Cattle futures closed higher with feeders settling up strongly given corn’s weak performance. Lean hog futures closed mostly higher by relatively small amounts. 

CBOT futures closed mixed with corn and wheat futures dropping sharply for a second straight day. Cattle futures closed strongly higher with feeder cattle up sharply given the 2-day sell-off in corn futures. Lean hog futures settled strongly higher with the July LH rising sharply to correct Tuesday’s larger loss.
