Knox County Farm Bureau & the Barbourville Junior Women’s Study Club hosted a Measure the Candidate Forum for three local offices including Mayor, PVA and County Judge Executive. The agenda also included questions for the seat of the House District 86 State Representative.

In the 1770s, the area’s central location on the “Wilderness Road,” blazed by Daniel Boone, led pioneers through Danville, which became a gathering spot for early settlers and political activity.
