Harlan County Farm Bureau Supports Local FFA Chapter

Harlan County Farm Bureau (HCFB) recently donated $1,500 to the Harlan County High School Future Farmers of America FFA. The FFA students will be using this donation to attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. FFA is a dynamic youth organization that changes lives and prepares members for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. FFA develops members’ potential and helps them discover their talent through hands-on experiences, which give members the tools to achieve real world success. The Harlan County High School Agriculture Initiative began in 2015 when Harlan County Farm Bureau Education Committee petitioned the Harlan County Board of Education for an Ag Teacher. The Board of Education did hire an Ag Teacher, and now have a State of the Art Greenhouse.
