Harlan County Farm Bureau's Annual Picnic and Legislative Appreciation Event

 

Harlan County Farm Bureau’s Annual Picnic and Legislative Appreciation Event was held on August 19th at the Harlan County Farm Bureau building. Over 40 members attended the event. Legislators attending the event included Harlan County’s Judge Executive Dan Mosley, Harlan County’s District Judge Scott Lisenbee and State Representative Chris Fugate. Don Miniard, president of Harlan County Farm Bureau, gave appreciation to our legislators for supporting Kentucky Farm Bureau legislative priorities.

Tucked into central Kentucky, Boyle County is home to meandering countryside, charming towns, and rich history. The county seat of Danville is known as the Birthplace of Kentucky. In the 1770s, the area’s central location on the “Wilderness Road,” blazed by Daniel Boone, led pioneers through Danville, which became a gathering spot for early settlers and political activity.
