Harlan County Farm Bureau educated local students on the importance forest fire prevention

 

Harlan County Farm Burau partnered with Kentucky Division of Forestry to promote awareness for forest fire prevention. Kesley Baker, State Coordinator for Fire Wise, taught 5th - 8th graders at Green Hills Elementary about how to prevent forest fires. Bill Middleton, Forestry Chair of Harlan County Farm Bureau, coordinated the event.

Webster County farmer Eddie Melton was re-elected today to continue serving as President of Kentucky Farm Bureau. Melton has been a member of the organization’s executive committee for 17 years. Also re-elected to their leadership roles are Shane Wiseman of Clark County as First Vice President and Larry Clark of Green County as Second Vice President.
