Katelyn Kidd Awarded College Scholarship from Floyd County Farm Bureau

Saul Akers, President of Floyd County Farm Bureau, recently attended an awards ceremony at Betsy Layne High School.  During the ceremony, a scholarship was presented to Katelyn Olivia Kidd. 

Katelyn plans to attend Morehead State University to earn a degree in pre-veterinary medicine, and then continue her education at Auburn University to receive a degree in veterinary medicine. Katelyn is the daughter of John and Talila Kidd of Honaker, Kentucky. 

Congratulations to Katelyn! We wish her the best in her college pursuits!

I’m a firm believer in the good our organization does for this state and our agriculture industry every day of the year. I say it because I believe in it, I have lived it, and I see the fruits of our labor from the front porches of our farmhouses to the Capitol steps in Washington, D.C.
