National Ag Week
Over the past few years, Farm Bureau volunteers have successfully used National Ag Day and Kentucky Ag Literacy Week as an opportunity to promote Kentucky agriculture by reading an “Accurate Ag Book” in classrooms throughout the state. This year we are again asking women to participate in this Ag Literacy effort during National Ag Day, Tuesday, March 25th and Kentucky Ag Literacy Week, Sunday, March 23rd - Saturday, March 29th.
THE BEEMAN BOOK, by Laurie Krebs, has received the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) Ag Book-of-the-Year designation. The book, supplementary lesson plans and other resource materials are available for purchase at the following AFBF website: http://www.fb-orders.com/ageducate/ or by calling 800-572-1090. Alternatively, this year’s book, educator’s guide, Ag Mags and bundles can be pre-purchased at a discounted rate through the KFB State Office by emailing Scott.Christmas@kyfb.com. Upon delivery at the state office, your order will be shipped directly to your address. To obtain the lowest price, pre-order your supplies from the KFB State Office and pick them up at the 2014 State Women’s Leadership Conference March 21-22 at the Embassy Suites in Lexington, Kentucky. Please specify your delivery/pick-up choice when ordering.
