CBOT futures closed very mixed with soybean meal and soybean oil moving in opposite directions in a big way – May soyoil up the daily limit. Cattle futures managed slightly higher closes following last Friday’s Cattle on Feed Report which was considered relatively neutral. Lean hog futures closed mixed, ranging from up 80 in the April to down 112 in June.

CBOT futures closed sharply lower and near the day’s lows as outside markets’ bearishness weighed across the board. Live and feeder cattle futures traded very wide ranges today and closed sharply lower in tandem with the CBOT and other markets. Lean hog futures saw April close up but the rest of the LH contracts ended much lower. Energy futures collapsed today and U.S. equity prices closed sharply lower.

CBOT futures closed mostly lower with old-crop corn bucking the trend. Cattle futures closed higher with both LC and FC ending near the day’s highs. Lean hog futures closed higher and at new contract highs on continued strong pork demand.

CBOT futures closed mixed with old-crop corn leading the way higher on this morning’s report showing last week’s export corn shipments were very strong (2.2 MMT). Cattle futures closed higher, adding to Friday’s gains. Lean hog futures closed mostly little changed except for losses in the April and May LH contracts.

In a delayed reaction to Tuesday’s WASDE report, CBOT futures closed sharply lower in old-crop corn, soybean meal and soybean futures. Cattle futures closed lower on weakness in boxed beef values and a disappointing cash fed market. Lean hog futures closed higher on stronger cash hog prices and pork cutouts.

CBOT futures closed mixed and far below the day’s highs which were set when markets opened Sunday evening. Cattle futures closed higher with Live Cattle adding to Friday’s gains. Lean hog futures closed only slightly higher despite a soaring pork market in the morning.

CBOT futures closed mostly lower with corn and wheat leading the way down. Live cattle ended near steady in nearby contracts to higher in deferred LC contracts. Lean hog futures reversed Tuesday’s losses to close strongly higher even on weakness in the pork cutout.

CBOT futures closed strongly higher and near the upper end of the range. Live cattle closed slightly higher and feeder futures ended mixed with March/April/May posting losses. Lean hog futures closed mostly lower with nearby April LH dropping the most -- $2.375/cwt.
