Bourbon County Farm Bureau recently recognized local members for their hard work and efforts in promoting agriculture during their annual meeting. Three awards were given that highlight our dedicated farmers in Bourbon County, legacy farm, outstanding young farm family and farm family of the year.

Bourbon County Farm Bureau Board Members and volunteers celebrated National Ag Day by educating youth across Bourbon County on the importance of pollinators and agriculture.
- Bourbon County Farm Bureau Hosts First Annual Farmer Appreciation Day

The Bourbon County Farm Bureau held their first annual Farmer Appreciation Day on July 22, 2022. Approximately 250 people attended the event, with 19 businesses and organizations donating door prizes and/or setting up booths.
- Jennifer Arnold Recognized as Bourbon County Farm Bureau Ag Literacy Award Winner

Mrs. Arnold is in her twenty-second year of teaching kindergarten at St. Mary School in Paris, Kentucky. The kindergarten curriculum at St. Mary School follows the Montessori philosophy, which focuses, in part, on practical life. Through teaching practical life skills and life science, Mrs. Arnold makes many connections to agriculture, as she teaches her students where food comes from and all farmers do to grow a safe and wholesome product.
