2015 winners of the Madison County Farm Bureau Federation Scholarship.

Each student will receive $1,000 for the year of 2015-2016:

          Bethany C. Cruse, Madison Central High School. Daughter of Robert and Angela Cruse, will be attending EKU

          Jena Ramey Marie Dooley, Madison Southern High School. Daughter of Steve and Carol Dooley, will be attending EKU

          Bailey Shayne Rowlett, Madison Southern High School. Daughter of Stacy and Dasha na Rowlett, will be attending EKU

          Casey Diane Walker Madison Southern High school. Daughter of Charles Walker, will be attending NKU

 2015 Ag Literacy Week

During Ag Literacy week Ms. Harris' first grade class:

-Read AFBFs Ag book of the year The Apple Orchard Riddle.
-Used the Ag Mag to go with it.
-Had Career day where Rick Griebenow from EKUs Farm came and brought a dairy calf for student to learn about. He also taught them about the uses of corn.
-Greg Harris brought a cow/calf to school. He taught the students about types of feed cows eat as well as how to care for livestock.
-Every Friday there is an Agriculture lesson so students are being exposed each week. After Spring Break they will begin the process of having baby chick eggs and caring for them over a few weeks.
 

 
2015 National Ag Week

Several Madison County kindergarten and First Grade classes were read the "Apple Orchard Riddle". Waco Elementary, Glenn Marshall Elementary and the Madison Kindergarten Academy.

2014 ATV Safety Awareness Education

The MCFB Federation Women's Committe along with Honda of Richmond, conducted an ATV safety awarness eduction at the Madison County Farm Expo, held on September 11th 2014, at the Madison County Fair Grounds.

Madison County FB Federation awards (4) $1,000.00 Scholarships

Madison County FB Federation awards (4) $1,000.00 Scholarships each year, three scholarships are awarded to regular and associate members and one agriculture major scholarship. Pictured are two of the winners of the 2014-2015 MCFB Federation Scholarship winners.

Madison County Farm Bureau Federation sponsored 2 local High School students to attend IFAL in 2014. These two students learn about leadership and pursuing a career in agriculture. Bailee Rowlette and Blane Whittemore both from Madison Southern High School.

Madison County Farm Bureau Federation 2014 Annual Meeting

Madison County Farm Bureau Federation held its 2014 Annual Meeting on July 8th 2014 with approximatley 300 + membership in attendance. The nomination committee recommended nominations of officers and directors to membership. the 2014-2015 officers are: Richard Cobb IV, President, Greg Harris, VP, Chris Cooper, Secretary, and Evan McCord, treasurer. Two new directors - Dwayne Bogie, Randall Winkler, Jr.,and Kevin Fields. The membership also voted to reelect directors: Sue McAfee, Evan McCord, Chris Cooper. Pictured are the Officers and directors of the Madison County Farm Bureau Federation.
